the original photo from the dealsonwheels ad i got it from Interior is stripped, peeled back the carpet and found i have a few more holes than i originally saw, oh well just more experiance for me right before removing the mill, she was a tough *******, had to remove 3/4 of the front clip to get it out. after removing the engine, had a little spillage.. her *** end. got all the chrome removed and what i could of the tail lights ect... can't wait to finally get this show on the road, it's been 3 years and it's sat in storage since thing. hopefully this summer that'll change when i can finally find somewhere to work on her, as i dont live at this house anymore and my current place of residence doesnt have much for a work space. Going with the basics for now as this is my first hotrod build. 383 stroker, bucket seats, frenched headlights, borrowed tail lights, ect..ect.. probly going to have to have someplace chop it as i have no experiance with that and i hear the fleetlines are a ***** plus all my buddies are muscle car guys and wouldnt dream of chopping their firebirds.
Looks like it needs HAMMERed real bad! "If it ain,t CHOPPEDit ain,t ****"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pickle Dilley
Good start going there! Hope you get plenty of time to work on it this summer. I've had the one I'm messing with now for three years, too. Lots of projects on it and very few miles....one step at a time, huh?
I remember getting my Pontiac in that same condition. Alot of time and effort but sure worth the work!
thanks for the support guys, im probly going to ask alot of really dumb newbiew questions as i have read lots of books and manuals on building a hotrod, but have never really messed around with a car at all. I'll search the posts and the interweb before i say anything to stupid to find an awnser.
Brings back memories of what mine looked like when I started over 4 yrs. ago. I will be done in 6 months, so it can really happen. Just stay after it! Seems like the Fleetlines have become real popular. Good Luck
