I'm building a traditional 30 Ford sedan with my two sons. We are in the process of slamming the body over the frame. I could sure use some pics of previous projects to get some direction.
First off, welcome to the HAMB, from a neighboring state. Second, do a search for "channelled" A sedans. Lowering a body down over the frame is channelling, not "slamming". There are plenty of A sedan build threads and photos that you could gather info from. If you can, post some pics on this thread of what you are building... Malcolm
hey hudson, I'm workin on a sedan also. lookin to chop n channel mine too, probly z the frame for just a little more. I'll keep checkin to see some progress
Thanks guys. I did some searching last night and found a few pics. Looks like 1 inch 11 ga square tubing is the safest way to do this. I'll post some pics as I make progress.
By the way; this rod will run a 322 nailhead that I got from a great guy in Iowa. The car will burn E85 only (85% ethanol). 100 octane out of the pump and $2.399 today in Brookings, SD. I've got a local guy that has setup many motors to run on it, including his NHRA rail. Smells like old beer when it's running in your garage. My own little way of telling OPEC to choke on it. Soldiers don't die for corn fields.
