did anyone see the new rebel rodz? the right hand drive sedan that has 6 pages on it was my car that i sold 2 years ago to a guy i northern cali. the guy didnt have the money to pay me for the complete car so i took the motor and air ride out of it and sold it to him. the guy after two years he put a motor and bolted air ride back into it . it was cool seeing it in the mag but after reading it the guy took all the credit for building it. he did say he bought it from some guy named Ian or something in vegas. he then said it was just a frame and body, so my wife got pissed off and wrote a letter to the mag and we are sending pic of the car done . i had this car at viva 2 years ago and it was it rolls and pleats. so to everyone that takes full credit for a car they didnt build you ****.

Been there several times. I use to own a custom shop and did several cars that had extensive metal work, did the bondo work and finished in primer. The cars were taken to other shops for paint (my choice) The guys that sprayed the paint took credit for the whole deal. Happens too much and usually comes back and bites the guy in the ****. You are doing the right thing buy speeding up that process.

  11. it must be a real gem if they featured it in that magazine.

"rebel rodz", I never opened one. let me guess, maltese cross headlights and barb-wire steering wheels with tattooed tweaker chicks. I bet it makes Ol' Skool Rodz look like "hop up"

I picked up the mag thinking it might have some cool cars but then my eyes burned followed by my fingers and i threw that ****er in the garbage! Apparently a rebel rod is kryptonite. i hope your old car deserves better press.

In a way, it is Pro-built. I mean, the guy essentially paid him to build it, so he's a pro. Sure, he paid him after the fact, but he paid him none-the-less...

In the owners defense, that could have been an editorial **** up.
It sounds like the guy tried to explain, he may have given all the
details of what he/you did but the mag condensed it down to the
simple explanation that went to print.

I work in the print industry and that's how it goes. Sorry.

In my case. My truck was in Northern Rodder magazine. After filling out two and a half pages of info on the truck including naming the original builder, there was no mention of him anywhere. I built the engine and made other improvements but did not do the original build. You can't control what the editors use.
