I would be very suprised if Redneck is in trouble. The owner and his son have lived in the same town almost all their lives. He has been in the paint and body business for over 30 years. There is a waiting list on his bodies as he can't even fill all of the orders he has. I have had a car in his shop for about a year, and I've been up there four times. Every time I go the shop is full, and they are not the same projects. They have done an awesome job on my car, and I couldn't be happier. (well maybe if they were a little quicker)

Each time I visit we go somewhere to eat, and you can not even have a meal without 6-10 people stopping by to say hi. Most of these people are longtime friends. I think they are Okay.

RAVON's entire buisness was on ebay a few months ago, 50 G's with no reserve,........ NO SALE !,..... so if you want to get into the Gl*** buisness you may want to contact him. ( I did hear he was seriously sick, don't know this for fact but would make sence ).

You guy's know that Gibbons went "Kaput", seems Dwite's son Kyle Bond shut it down, but it is now owned by a fibergl*** co. in Va.

I would stay away from Downs at all costs they treated me like **** ....lied to me, called me a liar ! Just a bad experience over all. I'll drive a Yugo, before I would ever buy another thing from them. On the other hand Outlaw is awsome, great company and product.

Cyclone Kevin hit all the right facts!!! No more messing with goofy fibergl*** bodies. This body is created from computer scans of an original '34 coupe and is being stamped by the same company that currently does their roadster stampings. They will also be offering new fenders as well. The quality will hands down be the best.

Here is the link to SAR's Real Steel 3 window coupe.

    Wow!
Just got off the phone with SAR's Dave Brost=Designer, The body halves should be ready for the roadster show, the whole body by Aug.
These stampings are being performed by ExperiMetal, The same company that introduced the1st 32 steel roadster body, albeit it was a 32 Chevy, It still looked great, They do Big 3 stamping, and do side work like this as well!
Can't wait to see one of these in person as I need the back window area and some 1/4 panel pieces, for a body that I have. That will be great to have a clean sheet of paper to start with-Glad I have mine!

I had pretty good luck with a Show Me Rod and Custom body. Didn't have to do much body work on it. It was pretty nice for the money.

You should wait for the SAR body, it will definitely be worth the wait and the money over FRP.

You should look into www.bearfibergl***.com. bought a 34 3 window from them and found it to be very nice quality stuff, haven't sprayed it yet but seems to be low prep.:)

Somebody mentioned **** Williams and Polyform. I remember when he developed his '34 body and it set everyone on thier ear with his thorough steel framework and extensive fibergl*** background. I remember he tested the final product by dropping it off a 2 story building on it's roof. the body was flipped over and the doors opened and closed just like they did after it was built.
His body was also the most expensive one built at that time but it was the general consensus it was well worth the money.
Even after all of this time If I would decide a fibergl*** '34 was for me I'd look up a Polyform body for the build.

The R&C I just got in the mail Tuesday made mention of these, but I don't have it here with me, I forgot who is doing them. They are still in the works, not on the market yet. I'd bet you'll need a 2nd mortgage, tho, probably will make the Brookline deuces seem cheap.
EDIT: Should have read all the posts, it was Steve's Auto Restorations. At 30 G's, the 2nd mortgage was right on, tho. Get what you pay for, I guess.

  21. Kens bodies are unquestionably the best you can buy. Im not being biased as he is an Aussie I just know what went into the process of his molds and finished product. The steel structure is second to none as our registration and safety laws are so strict.
Hey, would I lie to you?:D

Dammit, you beat me to it.

We were set up right by the Street Beast booth in Daytona many years ago and It was hilarious just listening to the ******** spiel of the salesmen and the ignorant dupes buying it.

no, not a completed one, but they did have a bunch of the individual stampings on display including a complete side and they look very impressive.

I'll second the Eddies Rod Shop Kingsport, TN.

    http://www.eddiesrodshop.com/ers_template.htm

i just picked up a Model A frame from them last Wednesday. they are just putting the finishing touches on a beautiful 34 with a custom built frame. Tom and Eddie are awesome. They told me to call them anytime i needed to pick their brain on anything!

Steve is planning to have two complete 3 window bodies in Louisville from the new tooling. So you check them out there.
