Gonna make an all out effort to be there Sunday! I'm an old fart (70), kinda tall, with a gray beard and hair. So if you see me wandering around looking lost please steer me to the group!
I'm particularly interested in talking to those who know the ins and outs of the new MV registration laws I'm hearing about here in GA.
See the thread about numbers on a '28 Ford for my concerns on this issue.

I haven't heard of any new laws. I would be interested in hearing about these.

I don't want to hear anybody whining about a little rain either.;)

  8. Bummer - me and Kim got the flu on Monday and have been wiped out all week. Would love to come and spread it around ... but we'll just keep it for ourselves this time. Have fun.

That sucks dude! :( I've heard that the flu bug going around has been extra vicious this year. Hope you two get well soon!

It was god seeing all you there. Where were the Road devils? Bitter Red? Is this a boycott?

We had a guy show up in a clean unrestored '34 Vicky.

We also found out about a car show the first Sat of every month is Roswell off of 120 just west of where 120 dead ends into 19.

I had intended to be there, but unexpected problems prevented it. How many were there? With today's gas prices might it prevent some of us who live off a ways to coming every 2 weeks? I'm gonna make another try in 2 weeks if yall schedule it again.
But remember that AMS has the 500 on March 9, I'll be there that Sunday, and just about anybody who lives in South Metro ETL and isn't going to the race knows to stay off all the roads within 25 miles of AMS that day!

Hope you all had a good time. I wish I had gone now as I missed the great ride good vittles, and the good times hanging out. How many turned out?

I fully intended on coming out. however, It wasnt raining when I got up and well, The ol' bsa was callin so I tinkered with her all morning and got a little ride in...She's nearly road ready sans a primary cover leak and a bent front rim....See yall next go round....

  15. We missed ya brother. I think there were about 10 of us eating(smallest turnout yet:(). Keith brought Lori, and I think she had fun, plus some other non-HAMBers showed up just to hang out in the parkinglot and and bench-race. Had a great time.

I brought Boy Wonder in the Dakota...Suburban is down with electrical gremlins.
    Hopefully it'll be fixed tonight.

Got one...starter tested good at Vato Zone, all wires going to it were good, pulled the switch out of the dash and all postions checked good, all wires in the harness showed continuity.

Finally, checked the battery cable...no continuity. Last week I found the top of the (new) battery was wet, leaking around the positive post. the acid reacted with the lead terminal on the cable. It discolored the lead to a dark, dark grey, rather than the light silver it had been. When I lay the probe on the terminal, no continuity. When I poke through the gray, or scrape it away, I get continuity. It seems the acid had a reaction with the lead similar to oxidizing aluminum, or even anodizing it. It isn't the normal "furry" chalk-like oxidation, it just put a hard shell around the lead.
New cable tonight for 5 bucks...we'll see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, I'm pushing the truck into lake Lanier.

    Bite me.

Rear suspension has to be buttoned up and under it no later than March 10, so I can write a story about it. Who knows what's after that.

I did buy a complete factory 2x4 set-up for a 401 Nailhead though! And a guy at work might trade me a "was running when pulled" 401 with TH400 for the air cleaner. So it looks like I'm on the hunt for another project!

Yeah, I know. That would give me the satisfaction of doing it, but without the lasting consequences!
