Bomber seats from Nostalgia Flame Works??

After finding out about Nostalgia Flame Works through a search of the forums here, I found their website and sent them an email asking for pricing info...that was back in August of last year. I never got a response. Other projects occupied my time in the following months but just this week I turned my attention back to them. I've sent another email with the same inquiry and I still haven't heard anything from them.

I really dig the design of the seats that they show on their site and I'm still interested in a pair of them for one of my projects but I gotta wonder if this company is even legit. Anybody ever dealt with them? Positive or negative experiences?

Here is a photo from their site of the seats in question. If anybody knows of another supplier/fabricator who makes something very similar (with the same level of detail and bead rolling, etc. ) I'd appreciate a heads-up.

BTW - I have seen the seats from the eBay guy who goes by the username "bullmbella"...they were not bad but they weren't quite like the style I'm liking from Nostalgia.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hey Vudu, you might want to check out vintage31.com. They make a very nice race seat, bomber style. I don't know their price but they look like a quality piece.

I just checked out their site - pretty nice of them to include a PDF of the specs. I like the slight degree of lay back. I'm sure that would make them more comfortable than some of the units I've seen out there. I'm a little on the fence about the style however - and let's face it, these types of seats are style decisions first and foremost. Hmmm..I'll definitely consider them.

    Thanks for the info.

I'd still like to hear from anyone else with knowledge of Nostalgia Flame Works and /or other suppliers/fabricators.

As far as I know Nostalgia Flame Works quit selling those some time back, but never took them off the site.

Here's the two differeent styles of seat that I make. If they're something you're interested in, shoot me a PM.
That Outlaw place made bad knockoffs of both styles after I started selling them. Pretty flattering.

By the way, the seats from "bullmbella" on EBay are very, very nice from a quality standpoint. Not sure what to tell you on the style, since 90% of what he makes is designed after the Fairchild PT26 seats, just like what's in your picture there.

    Clay,

Really diggin' your work - the seats are very nice and your truck kicks ass! I'll PM ya with some questions I've got. Thanks for chimin' in.

I'm not so knowledgable as to what seat styles came from what aircraft although I've read through a lot of the posts on this site and learned a couple of things.

bullmbella makes several different styles. He ain't cheap but he's a straight shooter and the quality is next to none.

I've got bullmbella seats in my deuce roadster with a 3 inch bottom cushion and they are comfy. Also made a 3/4 inch removable back pad for long rides.

I would love to know if anyone is making this type and what it came out of. Was it the B-17 seat we always hear about?
