Well everyone this is the worst post I have ever had to write. On Sunday night My wife and I thought we would go for a cruise and of course Dewey wanted to go along. We hopped in the Merc I needed to stop by the parts house, just to get oil and some window cleaner, now Dewey the awosomely cool dog that she is stays with the car. This little dog guards the car as if it was hers seriously, if your not me or my wife you dont get in the car even my kids. So were in the store for no more than 10 mins we come out no Dewey WTF I about***** Did she jump out? I know that she wouldnt.. A lady comes from behind and says that a man reached in the car and grabbed her and pulled her out of the car this lady observed her biting him, this guy runs around the building gets into a car and drives off. I HOPE HE ROTS IN HELL. This little dog was like one of my kids, hell I think she was better behaved than my kids. What kind of a world do we live in that some SOB would steal a mans dog???? The other obvious question license plate? Well here in New Mexico having a license plate is just a suggestion just like insurance and not driving drunk. This is a horrible loss, Dewey was truely the best dog that we have ever had and we will miss her dearly. Oh yea the cops would not even do a report I have just writing this post. Sorry its off topic just thought you guys would want to know. Bill [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

That's horrible. I would hate to have that happen to any of my dogs. Check the pounds and SPCA...you never know it could have been some overzealous animal rights freak going nuts over your leaving the dog in the car for few minutes.

Talk to the clerk and owners. Give ‘em a pic of Dewey. I bet the a-hole nutjob frequents the place a lot. He may have Dewey in tow one day.

Heck I'd even let the local news/newspapers know...they love to do these kind of stories.

Yeah, Someone has got to notice this clown has a dog all the sudden.

MAMA and I will pitch in $100.

I thought of the News Stations also. Especially if they know the history of this little dog.

I'm so pissed and sad for you guys I can't even see straight.

i am making a list of vets in Albuquerque and will begin calling them. I have already emailed the only one I found with an email addy.

Slim chance this P.O.S. will take her to a vet but you never know.

I told MAMA RASH and she is just sick.

You and Shelby are in our thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear about this. That is a very low down thing for someone to do. True scum, lower than low. If someone were to steal or mess with my dog and I got ahold of them, I don't know what I'd do to them. Probably hurt them very badly. Bad news, man.

That is about as low as you can get. Possessions, cars, guitars, etc, all stuff that you can get more attached to that you really should and it can all be replaced ultimately. But to steal your dog... I have a theory on why, but I'm not sure you really want to hear it. [IMG]

I've been trying to think of something to ease the pain but just don't know what to say.
Our prayers are with you and your family....The Stray Kats would be willing to make
a donation to go towards the reward fund. (Put me down for $100.)

Great pain, no help from the police, no real clues.

Reward and lots of posters seem like a really good approach to shaking the world for information and leads, maybe the only approach available. I would happily contribute a couple of hundred, PM me if you go this way and need the help. I think reward should be as big as you can swing--a reward has to be clearly worth more than the dirtbag culprit.

  19. How about this for a testament to humanitys decline.....Sat morning my wife put a couple of small statuaries[baby deer and 2 bunnies] on our infant sons grave for memorial day weekend.by the end of the day we went over to look at the cemetary[its next to our property......someone had stolen both from his grave.
I could not believe it.My other son[26-his twin] was here and we all went together and discovered the theft.-HOW LOW can a person get?

Call your TV station! People eat up human interest stories like this. Tell them Dewey's story, a reward is a good idea, but when people hear what the little guy has been through already you will have a lot of pissed off pet owners out looking.

    <font color="green">Plans of action...

We need to do all the things listed above. Quickly.

Contact the local Media and tell them the story, the whole story of how you came about the little dog. Including the lack of interest from the police should get them interested also.

Run a reward ad in the local paper, lost and found animal section.

Posters, lots of them, with a pic and reward. It doesn't have to say how much.

The posters in the area around the parts store are a great idea.

Again with contacting the vets and you told me you have already gone to the pound with your info.

Let me know what the tattoo says on her so I can let the vets know.

Our offer is not just for reward but also for help with ad costs or WHATEVER.

We need to get her back.

This is some EXTREME bull***** and the more I think about it, the madder I get.

Also, you do know it is a red***** box car with no tag. I would cruise the hoods around there looking for such a beast and then look for signs of the pup.

Let me know what we can do.

    Your friend,

I just can not imagine how any one can sink so low as to steal a dog.
Especially when the pounds are begging people to adopt unwanted pets.
In the local paper, there is a couple of pages devoted to court records and police reports every Monday morning.
There are always two or more stolen pets reports, most from the owners fenced yards.
Like you, we take our little friend with us when it is not too hot or cold for her to stay in the car(she, also likes to ride). We are thinking of you, is there is anything we can do?

Just a suggestion, but did you case the area where this scumbag had his car parked for an ATM machine or any other business entity that may have video cameras? You'd be surprised how many hidden cameras there are out there, and one may have recorded his tag#.

The media idea is a good one. You might be surprised how many other people may have seen something and might have additional info (like a more detailed vehicle description for example).

I hope you find her. Any************** who would steal another man's dog deserves a bullet in the nutsack.

People are creatures of habit. Chances are this dirt bag uses this parts joint or lives nearby. I'd stake it out with some pals and wait for the*****er to return then beat his**** but good.
Good luck in getting the H.A.R.T. back

Sorry to hear about your dog,the advice posted so far is about the best way to find Dewey.
Try and get your story on the local tv news and about a reward for the dog returned.
Maybe he has friends that will turn him in or swipe the dog from him to get the reward.
I hope you get your dog back,my kids are all grown and gone and my dog is like a kid of mine to me.

Charlie Daniels song comes to mind... Something about tied to a tree in the swamp and gators.... Hell I'm all for it! [IMG]

  28. I'm sorry that happened.
Chances are the******** took the dog to give as a gift to his lady, or a child. Or he's going to sell the dog.
As well as the other suggestions, look in the local free ads, or even local pet stores to see if the dog shows up. Not all pet dealers are honest. He pays a crackhead 20 bucks for a dog he sells for hundreds.
Good luck, and I hope all turns out well!
