Don't yell. I can’t have someone snickering and talking in low tones when p***ing by my ***. I don't like the '55 Pontiac tail lights on this wagon. So I got some ’55 Chevy. Through my searches for tail light treatments I came across the Lee lenses and really dig the Buick style. I am not going to ever go custom with this car so it seems like a nice touch without chopping up the rear. But. Is this like a cheesy bolt on thing?

Actually, Lee lenses are and have been popular for quite a while.

They were popular in the '60s & '70s, and I don't think they really ever were considered anything but an improvement, and a nice custom touch. We put a pair on a '55 Chevy hardtop about 1970.

America is the "land of the protest". No matter what you do, someone will criticize it! Don't try to build a custom by commitee, it will be boring, and look like everybody else's! If you like 'em, run 'em!

You guys can laugh. I'll keep my curb feelers, need to protect those expensive wide white radials.

so long as they don't have the Iron crosses embossed into them- those are pretty cheesy...aside from that, I will admit a sick fascination with Lee lenses. I don't think they made a set that looked bad compared to what was on there before.

Those Pontiac lights on a 55 Chevy would make everyone say WTF.

Lee Lenses are where its at. I collect rarer ones that I don't see very often and then buy tailights to make a set.

I like the lee lenses. I also have a 55 pontiac wagon and it came without tailights. I'm not sure what I will use yet but it wont be original ugly pontiac tailights.

You never seemed the one to give a **** what people thought. Run 'em, they look good, not like continental kits and flame throwers for Pete's sake!

I personally would use either the '55 Chevy or find a pair of the Buick lenses and cut them to fit.

Sorry!!! we have been running the exhaust and so that meant cutting out the rest of the K-member. Anyway…I was toying with the ’55 Buick lens in the ’55 Chevy trim but there is just to much to fill in or do whatever the ‘f would be involved, namely time.

this is kind of different Jeem...curb feelers ****. I mean I remember my Dad & uncles attaching them to my Grandma’s car when she was out of control, and yeah beer was involved but it left quite an impression all the joking and stuff that evening.

Hey Corn Fed!!! are you the guy that I was trading A body pieces with? if so I am a bad person, namely busy and forgetful in my personal life. My wife will confirm this. I found the box with a bunch of panels in the shed last week. I thought I had sent those.

if you roll with the lee lenses and want to make it look good, wet-sand them smooth(they have a texture to them) and buff them out...they will look soooooo much better

My brother has a 56 Pontiac with those housings and was thinkin' about goin with a 59 caddy, but he felt that was the wrong direction for his finished visual. He'd like to do the 55 Chevy thing but tri 5 stuff is always in high demand cash-wise for just an "idea". Shoot me a PM if you want to get rid of those lenses.

I thought the same thing about my tail lights in my 56 wagon. I thought they were kinda ugly, but they do look cool at nite. Plus theres already to many 55 chevys. Mine grew on me and now I kina like them.

These are a little wild but I am donating them to Kirk's Starliner project. I think they will enhance the awesome job he is doing, I picked them up years ago with dreams to some day build a '60. Kirk is making my dream come true!

Yes, that was me. It'd been a few years ago, you'd parted out your PU, and then you were off the board for a while, so I just figured you'd totally cleaned house of the Model A stuff. I'll PM ya.
