so here the problem i got my T running 350 Chevy mild cam gear drive .. so it was running and driving good but shooting a single pop acceleration ..so i checked and had wires crossed .. OK here's the part i have a question about, i got the wires straight and the popping went away on acceleration . but now when i drive it , it pops thought the carb and runs real rough under load witch it wasnt doing earlier .. i adjusted the carb 1 1/2 out, dwell is at 30 .i haven't got my timing light on it yet its to loud to run right now .. so what makes a car run ruff under load timing, carb, any info would greatly help for tomorrow .thanks kyle

Ignition circuit breakdown. Could be anything from dirt on the coil tower to broken insulation on the leads .

if you are running a Holley carb...all it takes is one back fire or pop out the carb to blow the power valve out of it..if this happens it will run like garbage. spittin and poppin out the carb...thats the reason I will not use a holley! I only use edlebrock, carter, or predator...

New plugs would be the first thing I'd try, even if the ones in it are recent.

Ignition breakdown under load can be indicative of a bad coil. Measure the primary and secondary resistances of the coil, it may be bad.

i really dont want to say this but the last time i had something like this happen to me i rolled lobes on my cam. a weak or broken valve spring can do the same thing. the question i have is how hard did you get into it? i really hope this isnt what it is but you cant rule out something like this.

cracked distributor cap can make it do stupid things also. i say play with the ignition for a while if you cant find it then pull the valve covers and look at the springs and have someone roll the motor over and watch what it does.
