the girlfriend and I got some floorpans built

    this sunday the girlfriend and I put some of the floorpans in the hotrod, rolled the beads with my modified harbor freight bead roller...

  2. I take it you noticed how the Harbor frieght roller likes to spread insted of roll. Nice job.

    I'd be interested in the mods too, as I too have the H.F. Budget Beadroller (18").

    I have a friend who bought one of those last summer, but it flexed and gave crappy beads as a result.

    I'm gonna call him today and show this to him. I guess I know what next weekends project will be now ;)

    just made an upright out of 2x2 square, and went off of that at 90 degrees with some round tube at the top of the bead roller and the bottom of the bead roller, here are some pics

    Floors are lookin good. Your seat will be pretty close to the dash wont it?

    Not to hijak, but..... So it is the flat plate on the HF roller that's the most problematic? As in, it flexes too much? Good fix. If the dies are decent, I would imagine your reinforcements would do the trick.

    I did something very similar to my HF bead roller. 10 years later it still works slick.

    yea...I'm hopin I can make some seats that don't take up alot of room so I can have THE most leg room possible...
