Awright, I give up. I searched and searched and couldn't find what I'm looking for. Anyone got a front axle assy or an intact wishbone they can measure for me? I need the distance between the spring perches themselves, not the perch bolts. I'm setting up a rear suspension with a 42-48 front spring and I need to set the brackets at the correct distance... Thanks!

Oops  You're right. Sorry about that. I've got some in a trailer about 35 miles away, but the 2 I have in my garage are definitely not 42-48's. Anyway, here's a bump. Maybe someone else has one.

Really? WTF? My unloaded spring eyes are nearly 43 inches... I know this is a 46 front spring, I disassembled the car myself and the spring fit right then. Ah, screw it it I'll just set it down on some rollers, ala brian angus' spring measurement thread, and measure the damn thing under load. Thanks guys...

might not be a bad idea, my car is right at the 42 5/16 mark too. if it makes any difference, the shackels are almost straight up and down, like they would be if the spring was too long? damn my fingers are cold.

keep in mind that as the spring is below the wish bone, when its loaded it will be out beyond the eyelet on the wishbone.
you may have a spring thats been dearched.
of the two that are here, one has no engine or trans and the spring eyelet in inboard of the wishbone eyelet.
the one with engine and trans, front sheet metal etc. the spring eyelet is out board of the wishbone eyelet and measures 45 plus inches

Thanks again for the input guys. I guess maybe they weren't as concerned with having that 45 degree shackle angle by this point because panhards and sway bars were being used? I dunno, I'll make it work. Thanks!
