I am using a 300 inline 6 with a 4 speed manual. I can't get the pressure plate to compress when I push in the clutch pedal. Everything in the trans is new, and the master cylinder and slave cylinder are hydraulic. there is no movement at all, it feels like its bound, but it looks all good in there, I've had it apart a few times. Could it be possible that the pressure plate is too tough for the cylinder?
I've sent this to Dirty2 also, but any one who might know something please send me a line.

  2. Does the clutch pedal depress or is it solid?

When you say no movement, the clutch fork does not move?

If nothing moves, does the pedal move if a bleeder is opened?

Did it all function properly before?

When the bleeder is opened, the whole pedal ***embly moves really smooth. When the whole system is ***embled and complete, the pedal is so hard, it has no movement at all. And the clutch fork is immoble. I have never had it together before, but it came off a running driving full sized truck. Now it's in my 34 with a new master and slave.

Heres a site that may have what your looking for. Its all things ford.

    www.ford-trucks.com

Find your way to the engine forums and post there. You"ll get an answer.

  5. Is the throw out bearing on the fork correctly?

Is the fork on the pivot ball correctly?

What year parts are these? The setup is generally the same for all years, late 50's to 70's.

It sounds like the T/o bearing is wrong, or stuck.
