Finally got the Finkosel wired up today. It has an automatic mode for shows where it turns itself on and off, and a manual mode that the operator controls. Speed and ride time are adjustable. Still lotsa details to finish, but we will be in Detroit for the Autorama.

Chaz, you are sure going to create a bunch of smiling faces both young and old when you present that in Detroit.

Uh.. Its not exactly a car.............

Yeah, they ride on the back of Surfinks surfboard, on the rear of Brother Rat Finks bike, and behind the drivers of the cars. The more timid kids will ride on a seat next to Rat Fink [that'll be done later this week]

  11. Cool. I wanna see pics with kids. What's the weight limit to ride?

I'm not even a big fan of Roth or the 'Finks'; but that is one very cool piece! Excellent, well done!

The effort put forth on that work of art is astounding.

I'm amazed by the scale. Usually, when someone attepts to make a 3D verion of a 2D image, it comes out somewhat out of scale. You nailed it all.

    I absolutely love this thing!

I heart the Finkosel. Wish I was going to Detroit to see it in person. What kind of plans for a show circuit for this thing? Absolutely awsome craftsmanship.

This years Detroit Autorama will certainly go down in the history books as one of the finest. The Finkosel will be the talk of the town for a long, long time. You both should be very proud of yourselves.

Actually, there are 3 of us .. John Detrich did all the concept art that we worked from. I've never actually met him face to face, only on the web, but hope to meet him someday soon.
I invited him to Detroit, but he was already committed elsewhere.
He really set the tone for the whole deal and his artwork was perfect for a couple of hack woodcarvers to follow. It wouldnt be **** without John's input. Needless to say, we are indebted.
