I know most of you have seen the 4 door hard top 55 but has anybody ever seen this 56 4 door ht/vert?
I was looking at a john deere painted 56 wagon:confused: on that auction site and the guy slipped a picture of this 56 in,I bet the 55 took a lot more work but this one is also very interesting, what other tri five creations have you seen?

I saw a build story on the '55 4dr HT several years ago...if I remember correctly, it was based off a '56 4dr HT, but all the side trim and interior stainless had to be custom fabricated. Obviously they had to hang quarters and do all the other stuff to convert it to a '55, but it wasn't WAY silly work.
What was interesting about it was that it was done to look like a factory car, but it had to compete in the full custom cl***, not the restored cl***es.
    The convert is interesting.
I also know a guy who did a very nice job building a '57 150 convertible (black and white, of course). Putting too much thought into it, that would have been the ideal starting point for a '57 to run in the Convertible NASCAR cl***es.

Caddy had em too, I bet. Heard that there was a very few 55 4dht made for GM execs, don't know if it's true or not. I have a 56 4dht, really like the way it looks. Thanks for those pics - they are really neat.

Both those cars started life as a 56 4 door hardtop, just for the record.

I think they are neat and i can appreciate the hard work that goes into them, and to make them look like the factory did it. thats hard thing to pull off.

many many moons ago my buddy tells me of this old "50's custom" 56 chevy out in the back roads. so we drive out to the middle of no where and there is is, a 56 4 door hardtop...all stock. what a bozo.

I'd like to see a 4 door hardtop 55 - 57 chevy wagon. that would be a cool one.

Many years ago I saw a 57 2 dr. with the 4 dr. hard top made to fit the 2dr. on it. I have not seen any others but it looked pretty good.
