Intro from Thom in Bessemer Al.

Discussion in 'New to the H.A.M.B.? Introduce yourself here!' started by Thom Wolf, Feb 17, 2008.

  1. Hello, new to the H.A.M.B.
    Thom Lawson from Bessemer Alabama.
1956 F-100 no mods, just an old truck with alot of potential.
1954 Chevy Panel, new to me, Will recieve much more attention than the 56. I certainly appreciate what I have read in some of the previous posts and yes finally decided to join in. I will have a long road ahead me with the work I will be doing on the panel and may need a little insight from time to time attempting to figure out what parts have been grafted into this truck. I don't know that I will have a whole lot to offer in the tech rhelm but I will share what I know. Again, I do appreciate what I have read so far. So this is what I am starting with on the 54. And the current pic of the 56 F-100, poor little totaled Honda that pulled out in front of me in my lane.

Soon to be moving to St. Louis. What is the kar seen like there? Anyone?

    Thanks
    Thom

Welcome to the HAMB. My son and I own 205 Rim Shop at 1916 5th ave in Bessemer. Have a few projects going now. Why going to St Lewis? Are you looking for work? Come buy and see us sometime. Thanks, BOBBY FORD

  6. Thanks for the welcome k9racer, I have been to a few SCCA events in your area. My favorite is the halloween night event . Light cones, other than that nice and dark.

  7. Thanks for the welcome Bobby. I may have met you a about a year ago. I used to work at the parts counter at Custom Performance, please don't hold that against me. Have you moved your shop lately? Oh yeah St. Louis. My wife's folks are up there and well, I guess I am ready for a change myself. She and my son have already moved and I was left here to remodel the bathroom, fix this, fix that, pack and still work full time. I am tired. I will make it by your shop though.

You have probably met my son Brad. He runs the show. I count the money. LOL. Yes we moved last July. We now have 15,000 square ft. Lot bigger than where we were. Do you have anyrhing you are trying to sell before you go? Let me know. Best to email me at jford1@bham.rr.com Thanks, BOBBY FORD

  9. Yeah, probably was Brad. I don't really recall any details, that was some time ago. I remember someone from 205 coming in for parts.
I will email you about the other.
