My son and I will be down. Just looking, maybe buy. We always seem to find something we need or think we do anyway. Down from Port Townsend, WA. What numbers are your booths, 272? Fourdy
I'll be there. I'm sure I'll find something I really don't need and drag it home.....that's how I got married!
You have to remember that there are two swap meets the same weekend at basically the same location PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY thursday-sunday run by the city is sure getting better every year And next door is the PORTLAND EXPO CENTER friday-sunday that has been run by the car clubs for 40+ years and is still the largest on the west coast. that makes it a two day+ event for old ducks like me ps had another great grand son 2-18-08. 8lbs 10 ozs
I'll be there with a few of my club members. Still deciding if I i'm bring anything down to sell. If I do it will be probably be a bunch of old ford parts I have laying around taking up space.
Pencil me in from way up north...Vancouver B.C.!! have a friend flying in from Nova Scotia as well. HB32
I might run down for Saturday this year. I'm not looking for a lot right now but it is always fun to look down there.
I have been coresponding with a HAMBer in Perth, Western Australia, who is coming up. Looking for stuff for several of his, and his friend's projects. Hope the weather smooths out a bit for that week!
Me and the gang will be there ****in people, or will it be people ****in us??? Who cares, it's a blast
I'll be there. might have a booth, or something, might be selling the 51 coupe if it doesnt sell pretty soon. eh . the one at PIR is good too
I'll be there, it's the highlight of my spring every year! Expo Center on Friday, PIR on Saturday. Always buying stuff I don't need.
Hell I might just fly on up and tag along with you!! Had a great tip back to BC , back home now , but my arm could be twisted. Did you catch up with Kiwitinbender yet?
Oh yeah the original question.. how far .... about 8000 miles if I make it. I guess I'll be buying...there's nothing much here which I could bring there to surprise anyone.
I havent missed a year. This year will be 31 years in a row. Ive been going since there was venders set up in the "swamp" outside. We had a booth there many years before they finally paved the area. You literally had to lay down pallets and tires in the middle of the isle so people could walk down each row to look at the booths without being ankle deep in water. If you didnt bring a table and a tarp, you were "sunk"! We use to call it the 'Swamp Meet' And to me, if it DOESNT rain at least one day, its not tradition. Only one year out of 31 I got a sunburn. All others its rained on and off, so bring a pocket poncho if youve never been before, just incase. Weve had 3 booths inside for the last many years and have lots of random junk, and I always spend more than I sell
