6'5" Tore shaped by Kent Senatore up at the north shore plus a quiver of other sizes also custom shaped by him. Usually ride Diamond Head or Lighthouse during the week & see about North Shore on the weekend conditions permitting. Just sold a 7'4" Aikau bought from Clyde Aikau himself about a week ago cause I'm cleaning house. Probably regret that in the future but I needed money for Fenton splits.

Abo Beach Spear. Seven-footer. Thrusters. Still use wax.

Oh yeah, I picked up some no-name board in Jacksonville one year. Still got it. Has a Body Glove emblem under the clear coat. Rides real nice but it's a bit short for me.

I ride a 6'3" Yinger and have a 7'8" Peter Benjamin gun for when it gets big. I grew up with surfing being a way of life. I was sponsored by G&S when I was 12 and still enjoy it, but dont get out as often as I should. We used to surf everyday before and after school, and the days when the surf was better than the school, I was the only youngster in the water with the likes of Skip Frye and Joe Roper.

Those guys were always harassing me for ditching school and being in the water, but they always let me have waves and howled at me down the line. Ahhhh, the good ole days!:D

Bought my first longboard in 1963, 9'3" 'hot dog' board by a bloke named Ron in Sydney. I bought my first car, a 1941 Willys 4 door sedan in 1966, and used to tour all over the NSW coast in it with half a dozen malibus on the roof and half a dozen mates inside. No photos though, pity.

Sold my last longboard last year, but the wife bought me a bodyboard for Christmas to get me back in the water. I still haven't got it wet though, the weather's being lousy and dangerous surf have combined to keep me out of the water. I will return though!

    Cheers, Glen.

  8. using a body board after being a surfer is like going to a moped from a harley.but its better than nothing!

Loaned the becker to my nephew in Santa Barbra, his folks tell me he studies with his friends at a coffee shop called County Line.....I told them "that's nice." The madrid is with another nephew attending San Diego State. He studies at a place called Blacks...........Dang, The stories they tell!!!!!!
Me, I've turned to open water swimming to stay in shape, so when the roadster is finished I can head over to pleasure point, or 36th ave,or whatever they call it now there in capitola. Oh yea DEROSAGIRL, My daughter caught that mavericks contest. She called me and said "OH MY GOD" had never seen waves that big.

i know the feeling, crohn's disease has kinda wrecked alot of activities for me too, some days just putting a new spool in the welder, or taking off a wheel is enough work for me for the day. it sucks, i'm so fatigued all the time.

Very cool thread! I have been buying and selling boards for about a year now. Mostly junk short boards, but I get some cool vintage longboards in from time to time. Had a 9'6" Hansen and a Dextra pop out. Went to the Spring Auto Fair in Charlotte and sold quite a few boards. When I was looking for a board none could be found, so why not show up with 20 to sell?

Love to ride the longboards, and I am really still a novice.
