The storms have taken us out pretty bad here theres lots of trees down here in my town several house fires, and lots of stuff trashed. We are all ok from what I have found out but I heard that where Jester lives in blevins, AR that they got hit pretty bad and I don't know if they are ok or not. I called his dad about 10 minutes before it hit trying to warn them to take cover but I have know idea if they are alwright. We were at my moms house in Hope so we were ok, but we had alot of trouble trying to make it to our house because of trees down. Our house was pretty much ok some stuff got blown around and we had a limb fall out of a tree and land on one car but it was my girlfriends car that she had wrecked a while back and it just landed on the parts that were already smashed. Our driveway is gone it has gotten washed out really bad so we can only get her chevy fullsize truck in to it right now. The only thing I saw at our house was the 57 fury that mcphail wants from me the fender got blown off but it isn't hurt and it wasn't bolted on. Tommarrow I will find out how bad it really is. My girlfriends dad is a lineman for the local light company here and he's already been at work for 25 hours since this weekend because of the last storm that came through monday looks like he will be out for a while again tonight. I pray anyone that is in the path of this storm or was in the path of the storm is OK. There wasn't any tornado's here that I know of just 70-90 mile an hour winds. Its crazy right now. I know I'll be busy at work tommarrow since I work for one of the main electrical supply houses here in town.

I know this is tech week and I wouldn't have posted it but I just wondered if any other Hambers out there that got caught in this storm are ok.

We will return to your normally scheduled programing now....

I'm in the Dallas area, and in the past week, we have been knoecked around pretty good as well. About a week ago my house was struck by lightning and we lost everything that was plugged into a phone line. Our caller ID box, phones, DSL modem, etc. At my sister in law's place, she lost power last night, and it is not expected to be back on for a couple more days. Suppossedly a roof blew off of a Discount Tire, and slammed it into a transformer. At my girlfriend's parent's place, a tree fell on a power line and knocked out the power in their area as well. Once again, since it's a more rural area, it will be a few days before power is restored there as well.

Yea there was several roofs blown off around here also. Lots of stuff down my moms back yard looks pretty rough right now from limbs being down. supposedly we're in for round two today. I hope this crap quits soon so I can get some stuff fixed before we get married. (we get married in two weeks)

  4. Up here, no bad winds, "breezy" would describe best.... am sorry to hear about your night there.

     Tulsa got hammered yesterday.

I spent the evening chopping up the last tree in my yard. Good ole chunk of it came of, at least it missed the house.

    This time.

If it weren't for cleaning up after tornadoes life would get awful boring around here.

Check this out. Watch the video. Dial-uppers forget about it.

Kustomd, Thanks for the call kat. We had already taken cover but dad called me to let me know you had called. Blevins faired ok but it looked scary as hell. They must have been clearing roads all night on hwy 29 cause there are limbs everywhere and I don't think there is one stop sign standing between Blevins and Hope. I won't have electricity till tomarrow at the earliest. Any way thanks again Don for tring to warn me.

.The storms in Oklahoma were quik to pass over, but strong yesterday. I got home last night to a dark house with no power. and when I got up for work today, I still didnt have any power. Durring the hour storm yesterday, the wind blew alot of trees down. There were trees laying across S.Peoria as well as a few large limbs laying on 41st. All night long, all I heard were chainsaws and chippers. The news said soethign abou t"Gustnados". I dont care... if its swirling wind that destroys things its a fuckin tornado!!!

Over here (Southern Arkansas), it's rained and stormed like hell for the past 3 nights. Everything not paved is a swamp right now. Other than that and a few fallen tree tops we're doing pretty good.

The news this morning said there are 27,000 people still without electricity in the Tulsa area.

The power went out at 2:30 Wednesday.

Some may not be restored for another week.

That one that hit on the 1st had a tornado touch down about 1/2 mile from my house. We lost power then and still don't have it back. As of now its the 4th. Damage wasn't too bad. I had to fly both thoses days and it was hell! We actually got cancelled on the 2nd. Flight was from DFW to ammarillo both days. Sucked!!

As of 7am today, when I left for work, we were still in the dark. Went out to buy a cooler and try to find ice to transfer everything from the fridge. I need to buy charcoal after work, so I can cook all the meat I have in my freezer this afternoon. I refuse to let that shit go bad.

    [/ QUOTE ] Hell no.

Been on for three weeks and have had only one showing.

Picked a bad time I guess, with everyone getting out of school.

Oh yeah, and losing their jobs doesn't seem to inspire home purchasing.

    Pussies.

Oh and another thing, I almost didn't recognize you Arkies, what with you all wearing shoes in Dewey.

Threw me for a loop. [IMG]

I live off 42nd, between Peoria and Riverside. Thanks for the offer, but I think we have it under control. When I talked to my girlfriend earlier, I found out that we have less meat in the freezer than I thuaght. So It shouldnt be a issue to cook it all tonight. After that, its just a matter of what to do tonight. asside from calling Northwest Airlines and flip out on them, because they fucked me and didnt even buy me dinner first.
