Thanks guys. This looks like it might work out.

    Saturday, April 19th.
Start at the Dark Horse around 10AM?
Get to east end between 12 and 1 I think.

Man my only issue with this route is that 288 stretch. Once we hit Surfside and hook a left it ought to get entertaining.

    Donuts and beach races! w00t!

I'm still up for fried fish and crawfish. We need to talk about how we can set that up. It looks like Louie is gonna plan that? I hope. Somebody figure that out and then tell us how we can pay for it.

Alright. I talked to Shaun and he and I will drive this in the next few weeks to see how it goes. Make note of rest stops and what not.

we will note fuel stops for the 10 mpg cars like mine. my car needs fuel every 100 mile or so and my ass needs a break every 50 to 60 miles.

It's looking like my T won't be ready:(, BUT my Buick has a good size trunk to carry tools and other stuff. I won't mind being a support vehicle. I'll be sure to lag behind the hot rods. I wouldn't want my '96 Buick 4 dr to be put to shame!:D

I talked to my buddy and it is all good, I need to get a head count and i will probably miss the run and be the cook on the back end. That is unless my daughter will let me drive her car. We definately have a spot, I just need to know what everyone wants to eat. I will pick it up and everyone can chip in once they show up.

Hot Damn!! This is going to be a blast. Great way to get out while we are all still fired up from Roundup!

I can throw some spare shit in the bed of my truck for anyone who needs it, tools, parts, beer... you know essentials.

This all sounds good, I can get a discount on the seafood stuff from the guy who owns the bar once we get closer to the date and get a real feel on the head count i will order it. If Dave and Mike are riding there bikes I will be riding too and will probably end up with more bikes. If it turns into a bike run also it could get pretty big. We have a guy that works with me that lives in Lake Jackson, he is going to check out some icehouses along the route and we can schedule a stop somewhere in the Surfside area. Sounds like a good time.

    Holy smokes man. Good catch.
Tickets are $20. Wife says we're going.

Louie that sounds good. I'll get the route down and posted as soon as I drive it. An Ice House break around Surfside is perfect. We can get a beer, take a break, and hopefully have a gas station close by. Then the 40 mile stretch to East End.

She's 96 inches with a six speed, I think she will do alright. One thing is for sure she will go or blow. If it is speed we are after I can bring the old orange bike, she will definately run!:D All bullshit aside sounds like a good time. I will definately have my travel trailer for the drunks.

So what kind of head count are we up to? I think I have 5-6 counting wife, sister in law, and my kids if they come along.

I spoke to Earl, the owner of the bait camp/bar. He is going to book a band for us, and stock up on plenty of cold beer. I need to know what everyone would like to eat.

I agree. Lots of Lone Star and crawdads or fish or both.

  26. Lobster tail and Dom Perrignon, or Natural Light and pork skins, either is good.

Man, this is coming along great! I'm in for sure and don't care what the menu is.

  30. We should try some of that mustard batter fish, too.
