Tom is busy building a little brother for his 54 Chevy sled "Monkey Business". It's a 34 Pickup chopped and channeled with a Buick nailhead engine. As you can see it's kind of a tight fit compared to his '54. Jackandeuces is doing the fabrication work for Tom. New post below with it on the road at last.....
How much chop are we looking at there ? Love that firewall as well, but the extra room of the stocker would be nice. Great looking truck!
I love the look but I would never fit! Thats why I went with the IH cab and low frame so I only had to channel it 2", I have lots of room.
What's with the firewall? Running a stock truck firewall is not only beautiful, but you can get like 3 more inches of legroom.
Dude, you got your MOJO workin!! That is a slick build, nailhead-firewall-stance-, you got it all goin on!! Congrats, a nice addition to the super Chebby-Rock On!!-Sololobo
i love the truck overall, very clean! I would like to see some taller bias's on it though, but that's just my opinion.. Nice job!! I'm jealous
This truck has history, formally served the US goverment as a Dept of Interior , National Capital Park Service truck, And the Park service logo is still etched in the metal on door..When truck is finished the logo will return on door. Chopped 5 inches, channeled 6 inches ,nailhead and Speedway Eng. quickie... Headers were done by Kevin at Auto Muffler King.
That's pretty TIGHT - literally. Damn things weren't made for 'humans' my size. Main reason I left mine like Henry made it, I'd never fit otherwise. Good damn lookin' truck, though........
Now on the road. Tom had to replace the 364 Nailhead with a 401 due to a cracked block in the first motor. Now has 2 4bbls instead of 3 deuces. Runs good (goes like hell!) and looks great. Can't say I'd want to ride 300 miles in it though. Plans are to take it to the Jalopy Showdown if all goes well....
