Out running errands and stopped by Blake Machine near downtown. Some of the locals know the deal so here is a quick 10 minute run through the place. Trust me, there is way more to see here than I had time for. The machine shop alone will make you stare like a kid in Disneyland.
Wow... One mans junk... aawww you know the rest... is that stuff for sale, or just laying around? cool... Jay
There you go, literally 10 maybe 15 minutes of photo taking. I wish I had more time. I may have to go back in the near future.
Almost none of it is for sale. This was Bob Blake's place. There was a recent post about a Duesenberg 8 in a 34 Ford Roadster, Bob is the man who restored it. He p***ed on a while ago and his son now runs the place. I would love to show you what is inside those cargo containers!
I moved back to boston from phonix about a year ago there are yards all over the place out there . In glendale theres a lot of yards with tons of cool cars just sitting. Even the junk yards out there the stuff they where cutting up .there where some really nice cars and truck from the 60 70 .
Honestly, they are slowly rebuilding cars at their own pace. I know he sold ONE of his HEMI Cuda Convertables a few years ago to keep the lights on Tyler, I could always use a shadow...
The yard of Orangewood? If so that belongs to the son of a good friend that p***ed on a few years back, Jock Evans. Likewise, what you saw on the outside paled in comparison to what was on the inside. His son is now managing the estate and following in his fathers footsteps.
yes that is the lot , you have to check that junk yard out one a mouth those guys dont care they cut up anything , But theres more in that area and in people farms to there is some good stuff . Theres a guy with a repair shop to works on plymouth stuff doing an old cornet really was doing a nice job last time i was there he has a bunch of stuff too but i dont no the name of his shop in that area .
I'm just a spectator, I would apreciate it if anyone reading this doesn't hound the **** out of these guys. Just apreciate the photos I was graciously allowed to take and be safe in knowing that this stuff is well protected by people who REALLY do know what they have.
Anybody here feel like Arnie Cuningham at Darnells looking at those pics? " I said you could pick through that pile not build your whole ****ing car with it" lol. later shawn
