OK, I'll go first. I consider the following a good compromise and I know these work (I have approximately the same setup on three vehicles I have had for over 20 years....)

Front tire 165R-15 on 15X5 wheel.
Rear tire size may vary..... I usually run P285/70R-15 on the back.... fat (11") tire, about 30" tall. Use an 8" rim. If you want a narrower tire, P235/75R-15 is OK, about 29 inches tall (7" rim), or P245/75R-16 (I run mine on 8" rims, about 30" tall) work as well.

By the way, a one inch difference between the front and back will probably not be noticed.... the combinations I mentioned have about 5-6 inches of stagger......

    Hi Animal,
Do you have a photo of the 245/75 x 16's on an 8 inch rim ??

I was thinking of that size for my 16x8 Vintage Wheels (torque thrust copies), but thought it might be a bit narrow for the 8 inch rim.

I'm running BF Goodrich WW 600-16s on the front (& spare) and 700-16s on the rear. If I had to do it again I would have bought 550-16s for the front and gained some more rake. the 700s give you almost 3" diameter gain over 600s & really help out on the freeway (I'm running 3:78s). If you check out Coker's website they will give you diameteres of the different tires.

Well, just gave away the digital camera away.... new granddaughter takes priority, you know, but I have this shot from the side taken at Bonneville a couple of years ago.
