Here's a few pic's of whats going to be my next project and a few parts i've already collected for it. Pretty nice straight coupe body with some rust in trunk floor other than that pretty solid. This is just pretty much the way I got it, no motor or trans, M2 front and chevy 10 bolt rear set up for 350/350. I can't live with the M2 and I like 9" ford rears so probably going to have another ch***is put together for it with the 4" dropped I beam, split bones and early round spindles. ( pictured )Also found a 57 ford 9" housing with axles new bearings and all new brakes at the Wichcita Ks. swap. Down in the weeds in front with a little bit of rake towards the back is the plan. Had a pair of Hot Rod Rubber, Hurst slicks and 5 spoke grey center mags left over from another project that I think will look just fine tucked up under those rear fenders.
Plans for a semi angry vintage small block chevy hooked up to the Richmond Super T-10 and steel ****tershield ( pictured )should spin the tires with a 350 posi center section. The interior is kinda on the border and will probably have to get me by for a while, someday it will be white pearl tuck and roll with black piping. I'll rework the dash a bit, Pitch the tilt column, stereo, and underdash air unit, ad a hot rod column and probably the white superior 500 wheel pictured.
The chrome garnish mouldings are too cool and will definetly stay. The paint overall is poor condition and I'm thinking gloss black at this point.
I bought the car from a guy in Huntington Beach Ca. but he bought it awhile back from a guy in Grandview Tx. where I believe it was for quite awhile. Maybe some of you Texas boys know some history on it or seen it around. Looks to have been built maybe early 70's.
I'll post a few updates as it moves along, for now I'll be in the garage. See Ya, Gary

Damn man, congrats. I was waiting for some pics along with the (painted?) wagon. I'd kill for a 40 coupe. Something tells me this will be right on the money.

Can't chop it, just can't do it. I know everybodys got there own visions especially of 40's, but I think Henry's version was just right and I believe there are lots of cars that have to be chopped to look right. Just not 40's.......... my opinion. Gary

One of the most perfect body designs ever built. It doesn't need to be chopped and a lot have been ruined by attempting it. You've got a super example to start with, I'm jealous.

Shouda kept the last 40, it had a real hotrod motor! That combined with your cool roadster would have made a nice stable. Dam gold chainer poser! Can't you just feel the love?

Gold chainer maybe not, but you have such neat **** that you get a shot of your ride in the funny books at every goat rope and chicken pluckin party you attend. It's about the spot. Some guys got it and some don't.

What about the sheep herding parties that Gary attends?
Those are his favorite, especially when he brings his velcro gloves.
