The Starbird show is this weekend here in Wichita and I work right across the street from Century II where it is being held. It's nice to see customs and hot rods cruising the streets, saw a red (full fendered) 1932 Ford cruise by on my way in from lunch. Good thing I don't have a window in my office because it'd be facing right at the entrance of Century II for those loading cars in. Not a dman thing would get done, not that it does much anyway. Anyone going, or even better have a car in it? Went last night, just took pic's of the rides that caught my eye. First one is a 57 Chevy owned by my boss (his high school car), next one is McPhail's 56 and probably my favorite car was the 54 Chevy or maybe the 54 Buick, ****er for 55 Chevy's too. Enjoy:
How about telling your boss that need time off for personal reasons-then go over to the show take some pics and post 'em. Most of us are a lot farther away than you are.
Good idea, my bosses boss is putting his freshly done 57 Chevy in the show, so surely they will see my reasoning for a very long lunch.
I'll be there with a non-H.A.M.B. friendly car. I must have been bad because they are making me go in the back door Wed. evening.
jeff and I are supposed to be rolling my 56 and his freshly done Cadillac in there Weds. morning sometime.......
The Marauders car club of Mulvane is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with 50 cars and a hell of a cool display, going in tonight. Suppose to snow today, that will be fun......
