    Hey all,

I'm looking for a good metalwork / bodywork book.

Anyone come across any really outstanding how-to books that are relevant to our particular hobby?

One of the oldest and best 'The Key to Metal Bumping" by Frank T. Sargent. Pool

  3. I second that. Also, Ultimate Sheetmetal Fabrication by Timothy Remus, Advanced Sheetmetal Fabrication by Timothy Remus. Sheetmetal Handbook by Ron and Sue Fournier and Metal Fabricators Handbook by Ron and Sue Fournier.

pm me for Canadian sources if you want.

Agreed, Most newer books are written from a pro body shop perspective, which might sound good until you realize that the insurance companies have figured out how long any 'repair' should take and dictated that damage is covered up, as opposed to repairs. Also, auto panels have become much thinner and harder over the years, so repair techniques have changed quite a bit even if you could find a book that detailed metal finishing. That's the best book I've seen, but I'd love to find more...
