http://www.gulfportdragway.com/HotRodWeekend.htm I don't know any more than this. Was wondering if anyone else did?
Its a lot of fun. You can go pay, I think like 25 bucks and run all day long if you want. No tech in per se. I saw this one dude in a mustang, must have run that car 60 times that day a couple years ago. They do grudge racing, burnout contests, static show, swap meet. It really is a lot of fun. I plan to be there, though I should prob be in the shop wrenching on my junk...
There's also a big swap meet this weekend at the Mobile Dragway. (Mobile AL). Course I can't go to either one because I'm taking my kid to the Superdome for the monster truck monster jam thing.
just make me wonder if the gulfport /p*** christian cops will be out in force doing their thing like the cruise the coast meet? oh well **** the po-po if i was not working i would go..
A few buddies of mine attended in their A sedan and said it was a good time cool bands, pinstriping, races, and food.Probably worth checking out!
It was the Biloxi cops at Cruisin the Coast 900 tickets I heard. Ocean springs and Pascagoula were lining us up for burn outs. If my clutch just hadn't been out! It will be cool at Gulfport Dragway I go out there all the time and it's allways nice people and a good time other than all the parts I break.
That is not a good way to get people to come back to cruisin the coast, especially after katrina. If they would just look the other way on small burnouts and such, now I can understand if there is someone out there acting like a idiot and endangering lives.
If anybody needs something smaller than a car relayed up to Gulfport (or from Gulfport to Tampa Bay Sunday) this weekend, I got a guy leaving at oh-my-god o'clock in the morning Saturday who's hauling a car up there and another back. He offered whatever space he'll have left to me, but I got nuthin' You need to get it to him tonight here in Largo, I can put you on him.
