Mopar question- where to get ball+trunnion boot?

    Where can I get a driveshaft ball + trunnion boot for a 58 Dodge royal? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Al

    I used a front wheel drive boot for my '63 Dodge and it worked fine. I'm sorry I can't remember what the boot was from but, I remember that it really did the job just fine.

    However, let me warn you that it was a bitch of a job to get the boot over the trunnion as you need to get everything really greased up so as to slip the boot over everything. I really didn't think it would work but, it did! I just kept cussing and pulling! The FWD boot was really inexpensive as compared to the kits that either Birnbaum or Roberts sells. In fact it was free as my tranny guy had several on the shelf which he had just been hanging onto. Hope this tip might save you a buck or two.

    I have heard the people on the slant site talk about using the fwd boot from an 83 nissan sentra.
