Allrighty then. Need some help / critique here guys. The pics I posted we're quick drawings I did of some skin art I want done. Now, I by all means, (as I'm sure you can tell) am not a striper. Could I have have someone "clean-up" the stripes ? Photoshop 'em, redo 'em completely whatever... I had trouble trying to "frame" the Caddy emblem. I'd like to see what the pros would do here. And, if you feel like it I'd like to see your guys interpretations on both pieces. Go nuts, have fun with it, and thanks !

Take your ideas to your tatooist and let them work them up. They will do the best job and appreciate being given some artistic freedom.

    That's my opinion

Thanks for the input guys ! Kustom Ace ! Nice job, I like it ! Yeah, when I told the tattooist what I wanted, he did a quick sketch. It wasn't what I wanted (the Ford V8 logo was even wrong) So I thought if I could bring in some sketches which showed what I wanted a little more accuratly it would help.

Tattoos are forever - DEMAND to see some of the "artists" work in person! (I knew a guy who was really good, and he was more than happy to point to other tattoos in the shop that he'd done.) Do NOT trust photos - an unscrupulous hack can pull photos off the internet all day long and claim them as their own.

A good artist will take what you show them and put it on your skin in there own hand, i garuntee it wont look axactly like you had thought it would but IMHO thats the greatness of going to a tatoo shop, when you can get the tattoo ARTIST to combine your ideas, then it always ends up amazin, i have two tattoos to prove it!

The artist I'm seeing did the piece I have, so I'm confident he'll do a good job. I just want some sketches to show him what I want. I'm sure He'll put his own spin on it, but the sketch he did wasn't really what I was after. So I though if I could show him a couple of sketches of what I want, it could give him some direction.

  10. I felt bad after laughing my head off first, and then noticing "in loving memory".:( That's tragic how they messed up that drawing. Why did they outline the teeth and nose in dark black? Looks more like George Washington than the girl in the photograph.

definitely research your artist, there are a million "tattoo artists" out there that ****...... just because they do it for a living doesn't mean they are professionals.... or any good. I see HORRIBLE tattoos everyday from local shops.
