Got everything mocked up and I have a pretty good idea where I want to go with this car. Just thought I'd share a picture...

could you describe it a little? how much of a chop? what did you use for the center crossmember? how did you locate the rear end? etc. thanks

you nailed the look! are you using a transverse leaf spring? if so,what did you do to achieve the rear stance? it looks great when the tire and wheel house are concentric. what size tire are you using on the rear?

I found secret stash located deep into the woods, right in the middle of The Bronx!

I just snatch them up whenever I see them, which explains why I'm always broke. I have a few up my sleeve hidden out in family and friends garages for safe keeping as future projects.

This five window coupe came out of your home town of Long Island... It's been going in and out of my garage being worked on and back into storage for a while now. But now that I've managed to sell some of my other stuff and free up some space it's here to stay until it's finished!

Car looks great. How about MORE photos? I also like the stance and wondered what was done to achieve it. What suspension, tire size, wheel size were also used.

The body was already chopped when I got it. Not sure how long ago, but there is some lead body work left that a previous ower started to remove. The front posts are alittle weird and I'll probably end up re-chopping the windshield area (just to statisfy my own mental illness). I got a section of windshield posts that Ken and Keith (Rolling Bones) cut out of a sedan they built, and I'm going to use those to fix it up.

The center cross member is a '34 Ford style "X" member. Front and rear are Model A's along with a Model A spring in the rear holding a '40 rear axle in place (I've got a quick change that's going in there)... I had to tweak the rear spring ever so little to get it to sit just how I wanted it.

Here's a shot of the front... 1932 Axle held in place by a set of split '32 bones.
16 inch '40 Ford rims all around... 4 inch wide up front and 4 1/2 out back, all date stamped with "Ford KH" (Kelsey Hayes).

Thank god a real hot rod. With all the crap threads going on at present about fiberglass bodies, Kustom Kulture scene etc I was scared to open this one up.

That absolutely rocks. Thankfully some people do get it and you are one of them.........Hero of the day.:D:D
