That will be a tough job due to it being made of Cast Pot Metal..

    Cant weld it..

Find a good one & plate it like the one in the pic..

I would assume there is a process to weld Them back to each other..

But i find it hard to believe you can weld Pot Metal to your fenders !!

Please School me if this can be done :D

Not true, you CAN weld cast. It's not as easy, and you have to really know what you're doing, but it CAN be done. You mostly just need to learn what the composite is, and then go from there.

Ah, I didn't realize that this was the topic at hand.

In this case, yeah... good luck.

You'd be better off cutting what you need and finding a way to cold weld some brackets, or just use some other means of reinforcement.

This the look I want, I thought that surround would work good... What are some other options on a good way to get this look?

That looks like Cole Foster's car, he's on here and might be able to give you some input if you PM him.

    Worth a try.

This surround was made from the wheel well openings off a 65GTO. It was some really bad quarters that looked like a good deal at the time. An awful lot of work.

    I love this car.

my guess is he used parts of a stock 54 chevy grill bar, looks like he shortened the top bar R&L, and he kept the ends that drop down and would normally end at the top of the stock 54 chevy parking light, to that he added portions of another 54 top grill bar to make the parts that drop down to the splash pan.

these grills are chromed sheet metal, easy to weld but you better know what your doing if you want it chromed.

    this treatment is stunning.
