i spent more than a few hours scouring the board over the last couple of nights and as it were the search tool doesn't like 3 letter strings like pre or war and the term prewar turns up random results... what can i say. i loves me some pre war hot rods. now i know there are a couple of KILLER threads like this one... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=149631&highlight=modifieds+they+were maybe you have some in your subscriptions or you just have some killer pics of pre-war hot rods... maybe you have some historical photos, or current photos of survivors and restored milestone cars. lets see 'em. commence drooling.
