Thanks so much for the positive response to my Long Island historical racing films! Your comments and feeback are much appreciated. Howard Kroplick East Hills, New York PS Does my 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350H classify as a jalopy?
Tazio Nuvolari was one of the greatest Drivers of all time. Seen here in the Alfa he drove in the '36 Vanderbilt cup. I think that car has been mentioned on here recently. It was owned by Enzo Ferrari.
For the Vanderbilt Cup Race fans, I just added a newsreel of the 1915 Vanderbilt Cup Race held in San Francisco. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT4GXS3dc2M Enjoy! Howard Kroplick East Hills, New York
Thanks for posting the films where we could see them. I scan youtube almost every day and just happened to run across them. I won't comment on the Mustang, most of my vehicles don't classify either.
I have posted some new videos at: http://www.vanderbiltcupraces.com/index.php/blog/category/videos Recent additions include newsreels from the 1915-1916 Vanderbilt Cup Races and the 1937 George Vanderbilt Cup Races held at Roosevelt Raceway on Long Island. I have also included a video of the 1904 #6 Pope-Toledo participating in the 2004 Vanderbilt Centennial Celebration held in Garden City, New York. In the 1904 Vanderbilt Cup Race, the original 24-HP Pope-Toledo finished a surprising third. Enjoy! Howard Kroplick East Hills, New York
For fans of Formula Junior cars, I have posted a newsreel of the 1960 Cornelius Vanderbilt Cup Race held on Long Island in 1960. http://www.vanderbiltcupraces.com/index.php/blog/category/videos Enjoy! Howard Kroplick East Hills, New York
