Hello all, i joined this site a little while ago, i found it on google, i was searching for cool purses and it brought me here and showed me some cool pinstripe purses.

Well i had a 89 firebird formula with a 2000 corvette ls1 in it, but i decided to sell it, and i have now gone to a car i have loved my whole life.

When i first bought this car (a little over 3 weeks ago) i was told it was a bel air, with a little more reasearch found out it is a chevy 210, which is fine because it is going to be a rat rod project instead of getting restored

Just like my old car i am stuck buying crap loads of things for it already, brand new floor pans are sitting in it ready to be welded in, getting the v-8 conversion mounts, going to pull the old straight 6 and power glide out of it this weekend. I dont quite know whats going to go in it right now, maybe a 350/th350 setup, maybe even a BBC set up....

we will see but here is my project...

Welcome to the HAMB! I see that someone has already scolded for using the term rat rod. Actually it will be a hot rod. Ok? Glad to have you here. Thanks, BOBBY FORD

Welcome from another Texas gal with a 4-door chevy! Can't wait to see what you do to her!

(and by the way, in your cool purse search, check out Jenny's stuff at trophyqueen.com - her stuff is great and she should be at the Round Up too!)

Yhea i found her stuff in a magazine once, her stufff is a little to pricey for me though, all though i would like one of the 32 duece purses that she makes *drool*

I dont see it being a problem if i call my car a rat rod... you know since it is my car... i dont think i am going to chop it... for several reasons its my mommy car, i had a hot rod... now its time for some thing new and different.

  16. Hi, Glad to see woman in the sport , in New Brunswick , Canada we don't have to many in the sport but are always welcomed.. hope to see you at our show someday...

  17. hey goldie, welcome to the hamb. you can most certainly call you car what ever you want. the term "rat rod" is used by many people on the "outside" to describe an "old school" or traditionally styled car. most mean it as a compliment. here though it is viewed as a derogatory term for some reason. you will ruffle some of the more "sensitive" feathers throwing that term around although you don't mean to.

we are a group of hard core traditionalist. thats all we do. hope your skin isn't too thin. people speak their minds on here. sometimes more than they need to. that being said, it's a great place to learn and teach if you can. there is a great wealth of knowledge on the hamb and it's yours for the taking. we have many builders that hang out here. from famous to not so famous.

you have come to the right place. ask any questions about your chevy on the main board and you will get many knowledgeable answers.
