Is it leaking through the cable or is it coming out around the cable end between the end and housing.. If its leaking out around the end there is an o ring that end that may need to be replace.

Ford Motorsports have them on the shelf. The cable comes as a complete unit from the trans to the speedo. The gear is additional so you can reuse your old one or know which one you need (the're color coded)

thanks for all the help everyone, ive decided to put in a freeze plug and lets the cops tell me how fast im going

  8. Before you do that, and until you find another cable,or whatever it is you need, try this..
First, I am ***uming you have the end that goes into that hole..its part of the cable, not a seperate part. If not, find an old cable and lop it off.
theres a Y-shaped clamp that holds it on.
Anyway, take the end, and remove the gear. there will be a hole in the middle, thats where the fluid is coming out.
Glop some silicone in the hole. Let it dry and re-install the end into the trans and tighten the Y-clamp.
You are done leaking. Go buy a new speedo cable ***embly, and when you do install it, you should have no leaks.
