Roothawg, I finally just got rid of some projects that were just sitting. Then B*** posts pictures of the '49 and I actually started working on my '53, so I might get caught up before my kids are older like yours. I hope I'm caught up, because they are already showing me what cars they want.

I know i have ADD! I have 5 cars in my stalls, 4 in the paint shop, 2 into buff almost ready for trim. When i work one just one for a long period of time, i can feel the walls closing in! ( A long period at work is two full days). Bouncing around keeps the mind fresh. Oh, and every one is on schedule.

I have it but try to stay positive about it. I've got six in the shop and one outside and still looking. I find that when something on one of them starts to irritate me, I move onto another. This way I'm making progress on five of the six. Unfortunately, nothing gets finished quickly.

I have been combatting the ADD though trying to make sure the 53 is ready for Roundup.

Now that you mention it, I think I have automotive ADD too. :D Just go look in our shop. There's my truck and its spare pieces blown apart, my dad's A needs some work, my 4 wheeler is torn apart, my VW is torn apart inside and out of the shop, and the other projects sitting outside and the things I want to build. This is starting to sound like an AA meeting for car guys......

I hear ya Roothawg, this is exactly the reason I have four half finished projects in my garage!

I currently have 15 cars at my place. I try to focus on the one I am working on, but I constantly think about what I want to do to the other ones. It makes everything go pretty quick when I start a new project though, because it is already built in my head.

I've got two projects in the works right now, but have found myself avidly searching for a decent coupe or sedan for an early fenderless hot rod. I wish I had more time, money, energy, space and abilities, but you are certainly not alone.
I justify this hoarding to myself by reasoning that this old tin is getting harder and harder to find and that some day soon it will have all been crushed, too far gone to use, or ******ed up by a street rodder or worse yet a rat rodder. It's working so far. It's just too bad my woman doesn't understand it. I keep my mouth shut whenever she brings home another guitar, but they take up a LOT less space and she can play it right away whereas I have to work my *** off to show results of any kind. Damnit, that's just not fair.

i have the same problem, beleive me, and i blame it on my dad. His buddies used to call him a ginny landlord, because he had so many but none finished to show level..

I'm the same way, i find deals that are "too good to p*** up" and then run outta funds and time to get any one of them to a level that i can call them done. ...and to make matters worse...(or better depending on who you ask,) i just landed a 25'x35' garage, so now i can stockpile more ****!

and i thought i was alone.... i had my 54 truck driving and was happy and ready to move onto my 68 caddy, untill i had to take the engine apart this p***ed weekend. then there is also my dads 76 stingray which i swapped a 350 into and never fired it that was 6 months ago, my 00 crown vic (Daily) which keeps giving me problems and a streetfighter motorcycle project i'm doing for my tattoo artist in trade for ink work.

i have a lot of down time at work and find that making prioritized lists for each project helps alot. thats where my OCD kicks in as well. keeping my 18 year old neighboors out of my garage with their asian cars also helps!!

i'm still not sure if it's better to work on everything a lil at a time, or concetrate on only one or maybe the closest to being finished?!?!?! it gets so overwelmin sometimes i dont wanna work on anything at all!

  17. I can't even decide what to do with the vehicle i'm working on now. First I wanted to leave it stock looking with a mild flattie, then I started looking for Caddy engines, now I'm thinking about painting it blue flake with with skirts and a white tuck and roll, then I found a 265 Chevy online...etc. etc. etc. I'll probably end up selling it half done and buy something else.

How about a pic of the Redfish? Here's the one I had and sold a couple of years back. Just aquired a '59 Glastron SeaFlite with the hardtop. Too many projects.... LOL
