  5. I have Diamondbacks on my fendered model A and ran them on my 53 Stude. Love them........
Full set on the Model A, then replaced them because they wore out. Also went through two sets of rear tires on the Commander, don't know how that happened :D

I called Diamondback direct in SC and they were great to deal with.

I have never had any problems with blisters or yellowing. Diamondback takes an existing tire and glues the white wall on, the added benefit is they shave the side of the tire all the way so no radial looking lettering.

    Good Luck

I've been running Diamondback Supremes for a couple of years. They are great tire, but came through with cosmetic defects known as "dimpling." The Supremes were a new run of tires for them when I bought them, so they may have corrected that flaw by now. After hounding them for a good bit of time, they refunded me $100 for pain & suffering. Otherwise, no complaints.

I'm just using this quote as a referance, but in a similar thread DB tires was asked why they don't give Hambers a discount and they said it wasn't on their end.

If this is one of the selling points for Coker, shouldn't Db tires have the same opportunity to be an alliance vendor and give discounts or is it because Coker doesn't want their compitition to give discounts also? I'm not trying to be a dick here, just asking.

Not to mention that diamondback does great custom work. I just used a set of mickey thompson's, that they put a redline on. They screwed up the first set, and ate the cost to get it right. That's some good service. They also did a set of Nitto Whitewalls for the Starhauler I built. Coker is a great company, but I kinda dig d-back for radials. Just an opinion so GFY!

I agree, they should be given the same opportunity, but I believe that would be between Db and Ryan... I have even bought from Universal Vintage Tire in PA... they have good products also. They all handle the same tires from what I can tell... I went to Coker because of the discount... sometimes(most of the time) money talks.... especially when I am saving some...

    Hi all,
Has anyone tried the Goodyear Classic WWW? I saw them on a 57 Thunderbird and the shape of them looked quite nice. Only problem was that up close they had these cooky little diamond shapes on the whitewalls, which looked a bit crappy. But I think they have the closest shape to a bias ply tyre.

I have uniroyals, they are still pretty new but no complaints so far. I would have gone with coker but they didn't have wide enough whites in my size.

I also had a Diamondback crack on me (tire was 4+ years old - out of warranty). It was only the white wall that cracked so I am still using it 5 years later.

I ran a set on my Mustang until I sold it... I had the Silvertown dual redlines... they drove good and the car handled wells with them. From what I am told, they are actually T/A radial carcusses... and to look at them, the tread pattern is the same..

Anyone can give anyone else a "discount" if they want. Before there was such a thing as a HAMB Alliance program I called DiamondBack told them what I wanted and asked the price. Was quoted a price. I asked for a discount mentioning the HAMB. They couldn't help me out.

The follow week I saw Cokey at the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green. Ask him why I should buy from him instead of DB. We discussed both companies for awhile, we talked about the HAMB, I asked for a price, he quoted me one, I asked for a discount, he gave me one. Rarely ever do I purchase something without asking for a discount.

Last week I ordered a pair of side mirrors for Big Olds from a company in CA. While I was waiting for the sales guy to log onto his computer we were making small talk. I told him a pal of mine on the HAMB gave me his companies name and number. He had never heard of the HAMB. I gave him the Reader Digest condensed version. He got my order together, I about choaked on the price of the two mirrors, I then asked for a "HAMB discount" using those exact words and guess what...he gave me 15% off.....just for asking. Does not hurt to ask for what you want. If a company doesn't have an interest in working with you regarding price, find one that will.

I meant as an alliance vendor to an alliance member , not just anyone getting a discount with a Hamb mention but I get your point. Isn't that the reason for the Alliance? spend the extra cash to be a member and get discounts from specific vendors ?

As fas as tires, I have no connection between either company, when I get my bias ply for the 41 , it will only be the 6.50 x 16" with 4" whitewall Firestones From Coker just because they look so damn good. The 55 on the other hand will get some radials . I'll decide than who gives the best deal.
