Here are some picture of the new treasures I got from Donna Navarro. I bought his old tool box filled with his machining tools. And then she gave me the real treasure. All his old check books, sales slips, time book for his employees, Tom Beatty for one. Here are some pictures. I plan to keep some and lend some to the Peterson and NHRA museum.

Here are some pictures of the tool box. This is too cool for words. And the locks still work. Nothing is going to leave the box. Also here is a picture of a metal NAVARRO stamp.

that is some serious history there for sure. i like that So Cal Speed Shop got the 25% discount. and the prices for the manifolds back then wouldnt cover the tools to fix the striped holes in the manifolds today!

    Man, that is really cool.

And I thought my invoice, envelope and water decal from a set of heads I bought from him in the 90's was awesome.

I'd have lost it over that stuff!

Wow, So-Cal shows paid in full !...I'm joking.
Notice 9 invoices in a month? No one was getting rich.

Look in the toolbox for a stamp that says "second"
In the late sixties? (70's?) He called with a deal on a batch of intakes.
Cheap. We bought 'em.They were all stamped "second"
    As in blem.
Just like tire guys do to move product, nothing wrong with it except the stamped"blem"
    in the sidewall.
Super cool if that was in there.

  25. Looks like that stuff went to the right guy. I think it's righteous that nothing leaves the box.

WOW, I'm getting chest pains just thinking about what it would be like to be the recipient of this stuff! Have you considered loaning (temporarily) all of it to the Peterson? What a great exhibit it would make.

I love those old Kennedy tool boxes. I have two and would buy any I ran across. They are a cl***ic comparison from a standard that existed back in more "traditional" times to the mega "storage facility" size boxes usually seen in all the shops nowadays.

Anyway.... Congratulations on a truly great find.

Prices went up a little bit when I got mine in 2005 lol. Glad I got them from Barney when he was still alive, the hand written letter that came with them will always be kept with my most prized possessions
