4bbl Scoops, Air Cleaners and Spark Arrestors...Let's See Em!

    I wanna see some unique, rare and downright *****in scoops, air cleaners and spark arrestors for 4bbl carbs...I have a Cal Custom blower scoop on my g***er and want some ideas for something different...show us what you got...

    Here is the aircleaner I run on my flattie. It was a rough casting. I had to sand off about 1/8 inch of material to get it smooth enough. Also had to fab the mounting plate for the carb as well.

    Here is the Obrien Trucker that will be on my flatmotor when it first starts.

    The aircleaner on glmarkie's 32 is totally awesum when seen in person.............as is the car..
    and I still have the smell of gasoline on my clothes when he started it up sans mufflers in the closed garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Not a bad start to the thread, a pair of blown flatties with killer air cleaners...what else is out there? I seem to recall Groucho posting pics a year or two ago of a scoop he was looking for that was killer looking, I'd like to see it again...

    tommy, those are awesome...I'm gonna have to make a list of manufacturers to look for...it's hard finding a single quad scoop or spark arrestor that doesn't look funny by itself...
     
  7. Nicson made some great ones. I just wished I would have kept some from the 70s when my dad was into all the drag boats.

    Single quad but not a scoop. No name but I think these were cast in New York.

    There's a pair of those on the Wetzel roadster, they're neat...Groucho has good taste...hahaha...I've been looking at marine style spark arrestors lately, I'm starting to dig those...

    Got it offa the auction site..., pop riveted a $14.99 Mr Gasket base to the bottom, and put the rest on the inside and cranked down on the nut. It'll obscure the HEI until I get the Doublelife rebuilt.

    Center is Holley HiTek and outboards are custom 6061.
