Does anyone know of a filller that would have a curve to it that would mount in the upper rear quarter of a A sedan? I don't want to use a fuel door and I don't want to mount it in the rear panel due to space problems Thanks Jeff
Make a pattern of the correct bend you need and take it to your local muffler shop and let them bend it up for you in exhaust tubing,,,you can use a neck from almost anything as long as the gas cap fits. HRP
HRP, what's you're opinion of having a naked cap similar to maybe a 65 Chevy pickup cap in the open like oiler is asking, or at the rear panel? Water problems? I know it should be isolated in a rubber mount of some sort.
sorry fellas I should have been more clear (as usual) What I'm looking to do is use a flip up style cap but i need to find one that has a curved base. I've found ones with flat bases but I know I've seen them mounted to the tops of fenders and whatnot Thanks again Jeff
Who says you can't whittle an adapter from aluminum? Make a recess for a flat base cap to fit into? Bad thing about a recess, you can see all of it inside the car. Where there some Caterpillar dozers that used a smaller lock down cap? Made of br***? I can't remember where I saw it, seems like it was from the 40's or 50's.
