I'm surprised no one posted this yet, it starts on Friday. Anyone going? Who has their cars in it this year? I'd like to know what cars to look for. My 58 will be at our club display. NONAME has it at his shop right now replacing some glass, and fixing some other stuff.

With the political circus shows have always been a part of, the Seattle Roadster Show and the Portland Roadster Show are on the same weekend, 150 miles apart, with different promoters. Portland is a good show, better than Seattle usually, and I may make it down. We did a big display for their 25th, but I've only been back once-the 50th was really good.

WoW my dad did the Portland show in 1973,with a 29 A cracker cab 327ci I have the second in class trophy, sittin right here.I was 9 years old,and was there all three days morn till night. kids dream and a great memory..the car even made a street rodder mag..i have...Shane...Thanks dad..(dad Gordon O'connor)

  6. the political is over. now it's just costing both a larger customer share.

Dan Cyrs tried to buy the portland show and when the "Multnomah Hot Rod Counsil" turned down his offer. He tried to break the 50+ year old "Portland Roadster Show" by starting the "portland rod and custom show" two weeks before the real show in March. then he started the Seattle Roadser Show the same week as the Portland show. after 4-5 years with low attendance and bad reviews but was still able to swing the purchase of GNRS and the Sacremento Custom shows. moved the GNRS twice and ended up in LA put the whole package up for sale and John Buck (I hear he's a stand up guy) and partner's come up with a great series. but the two shows that fighting for P.R.S. market shares. just seems like bad business

What it all comes down to.... YOU build the cars (supplier) so that these guys can make money. Stop registering your hard work so that some big gold chainer can make money off your hard work.

  8. We've been down the "gold chainer" story line before.........and if you REALLY understood this show started with true hotroders in the 50s the "dont support the man"***** dont fly.......this show has great history and it aint cheap to put on.The MHRC is made up of clubs, those clubs have hotroders in them so support the damn show and try to enjoy life and the cars we build!!!.....theres alotta pride when someone rewards your work among the best around.....and now lets see pics of old PRS cars that are from the past or today..........except "baby" scotty's 65 chevelle

  9. Show time. I missed set up day for a photo op. Fidgets car is out of my shop and at the show. I only know of 9 cars that I worked on this year that will be there, most years I find about 30 (10% of the whole show) I never have seen my name mentioned. I guess isn't a modification. it's ok I'm doing what I enjoy and it keeps me in beer.
I plan on being there Sat afternoon and early evening. just a gimpy ex-biker, old long hair hippy (with a bad hip) and a white goatee, if you see me just say "can I buy you beer?" and we'll be best friends forever

    here's a couple Foto's of Fidget's Fine Frickin' Fifty-eight Ford Fairlaine

That's the car Ken. I have seen it 20 times if once, and I can't tell you what color the interior is. I think I liked it the first time I saw it, but that was the early 80's, I was showing a '68 Camaro - No Control, and the car beat me in the class. Then I got into Mini Trucks.... did I really say that?? Man that seems like forever ago.... The car still shows up at the show sometimes, I don't think Scott has changed it a bit! :)

Well I dont know about that. You must not have gone to the portland rod and custom show. The original portland roadster show is still the only one to go to and alot more cars to see. Some may not be my style but I can still appreciate everyones different view and likes. Support Portlands only good indoor car show.

  30. OK THEN
