well i braved the cold yesterday and got cutting on my 27 and what a difference! i took 6 inches out and just popped the top on for now, and i definatly got some serious motivation. so i thought id share what its looking like (sorry my camera is garbage). hopefully i'll get out to the garage soon to finish it up. still lots of work to do, sectioning the header, lining the window trims up, fixing some hinges etc etc. anyways, check it out keith
Damn you hot rodders....all choppin a car in a day. Us custom guys are jealous! That would take me a week or two! Dramatic difference. Inspiration to finish it Im sure, same here. Rot repair and structure fix is good, but nothing motivates you like standing back and saying "Whoooahhh thats gunna be kooooll!!!"
haha ya. nothing easier than cutting a chunk out and having the top sit right back down. im pretty lucky with rot on this car...its real fine surface rust and just a couple small patches on the p***enger side.
Looks great! I like the before pic too, maybe the nice summer day has something to do with it! Anyway you did a great job..
Looks good. As smokestack said, the proportions look perfect. Post some more pictures if you have them.
thanks for all the kind words guys, i liked it unchopped as well...but not enough to hack it away. damn thing does 40 miles an hour sitting still with that chop haha. im going to try to get out tomorrow and tack it all back together, maybe get some better pictures
Looks very cool and I mean cooooool....maybe cold....what's all that white stuff......BBBRRRRRRR!! Perfect chop dude.
Looks awesome, Im about to do mine in a weeke or 2. i was also thinkin about takeing 6" out, heres a ? what did you do about the thinger where the windshield bracjet sits on the window pillar so you can push it out and lock it??? if that makes sences
Good looking chop. I am trying to get my ch***is finished so I can get on with cutting mine up. It's going to be 70 here today. I am not motivated enough to get out in 30 degree weather. lol
thanks for all the kind words guys, that itself is more motivation for me. ive got it tacked back together...took the windshield header out. so hopefully it'll be welded and a new header in this weekend. im also waiting on a couple parts including valve seals to arrive in the mail so i can get to finishing the word on my reworked heads and adjustable 324 rocker arm conversion. updates coming soon...i hope keith
Looks great. I have always loved T coupes, unfortunally there is no way I am ever going to fit inside & Model T
Olds mill. Chop looks good. I would have thought 6" was too little, but it looks good with the log intake, 32 shell and lights. I think it looks great
looks awesome! any more pics??? Ive ALWAYS wanted a tall top. My next rod will be a T, but first I have to finish the one Im building. Well.. Start on the one Im building
