Hey guys, need your help! I know a guy willing to sell me a '67 Chevy II Nova wagon for "an offer he can't refuse." I'm having trouble finding price guide help for project condition cars and there aren't any in similar condition to compare to currently. So any help is appreciated! Here are the vital stats:

-It's rust free, all the way around, has a fender and rear quarter needing straightened, dings in the roof, bumpers are a little dinged, but totally rust free
    -Has all gl*** and trim
    -Needs all new interior
-Has 6 cyl., not sure if original, I'd drop a crate in, but it would probably run with work, has rearend and ******

So basically a body without rust, which is hard to find in my backyard in the midwest. I don't want to offend him or pay out the mouth either....any thoughts HAMBers?

    -Thanks, Schess

when you go to Walmart the price is on the article for sale. I don't do offers any more because someone is likely to be offended. Unless you dont mind either offending him or paying too much. make him put a price on it and go from there.

look in the price guide where it has condition 5 or 6,that's what he has.
if you wanna offer him more than that because you think it's worth it,go ahead, but not more than $3-400 over the book.

Needs interior, doesn't run..... you basically don't have any idea if all the parts are there or what you are really getting into. I wouldn't offer him more than $500 without seeing a picture. If your madly in love with Chevy II wagons, then give him $1000 tops and walk away with a smile.

Thanks for the help guys...I actually crawled under it today and feel good about knowing what I'm getting. I feel better about the advice my dad gave me (along the same lines as you guys)...sometimes it's hard to listen to your old man, even if he's been roddin for 50 years! -Schess

check under the rain gutter along the rear side windows and over the rear window. they rust out there. it takes a special frame mounts and oil pan to put a v8 in it. 1000 is fair for a rust free body.

Those are unibody cars,so go over the bottom of it with a fine tooth comb.

If it is solid, with clear ***le,I could see $1000-1500+.

Rust will eat you car,and your wallet trying to fix it.
