This may be a little O/T but whilst at a swap meet today I found this gem. I was psyched to find it, and the guy was really nice to come down on the price. It's definitely old but I can't find an artist name anywhere as I'm sure wasn't uncommon. It is hand airbrushed and I think it's the MOST! Tell me what you guys think.

My first reaction is to say Mouse! did it, but there's something about 50% off on the lettering....

The "R" in '****' looks like the Roth logo 'R' ( Mouse! s****ed on Ed constantly), but the rest, including the character doesn't have that Mouse! distinction.....the flourescent hits are pure Stanley,though...
Maybe a partner or someone working a booth with him?

    Not Roth's style.....

    A keeper,nonetheless....

Could have been done by almost any obscure airbrush artist of the time… I saw them everywhere for a while. Mouse and Roth both had imitators.

But if not… I lean toward Mouse.

Also I don't recall Roth ever selling them that color, but pretty sure Mouse was.
He's still around Google his web site, e-mail a photo, and see what happens… What do you have to loose… he might be able to ID it! Or not!

Please post what you find out.

    Good Luck!

I was thinking Mouse as well. At first I thought, it could be any old "joe", but then I wondered why it would survive in the Midwest if anywhere unless it had something more than sentimental value. I'll do some checking and post if I find out anything. Value or not, a truely nice piece that has already made it's way into my showcase.:D

That is awesome! I've been looking for one for years. Great find weather it's a Mouse or not.
