The first annual Winter Wipeout is this Saturday, March 1. The weather is forecast to be sunny and in the low 40's. Check out the other post about the event for specifics, and yell at me if you have questions. This thing's gonna rock! :D

  3. The wife and I are looking forward to the ride down there to check it out. Sounds like good weather so it should be fun.

I didn't have time to etch anything for the auction, but I've printed up a few flyers and hit the truckstops and autoparts stores with them, hope it helps!

Sled, we'll be looking for you. Greg, thanks for the help. :) We're laying out the vendor spaces tomorrow night, then I'll be there all day Friday, hanging signs, helping people set up early, etc. Saturday looks like it'll be nice, hopefully we'll get a big crowd.

Johnny, everything went well..thanks to you and the other HAMB artists that donated art, we did very well with the auction.:D

KustomAce, thanks for coming up and setting up for the show. Your striping of the lovely lady was a highlight.

Sled, it was good to meet you and your family.

We made some money to help people, the bands rocked, and the Outlaw Pinewood Derby was won by a ten-year-old Cub Scout with a legal car! Everyone thought that was cool, that a kid beat all the gearheads with supposedly superior cars.:)

My son took a couple hundred pics, and I'll post some later. Here are a few of the art we got from HAMB artists.

Thanks again to everyone who helped us out!:D

Striped ceiling fan blades from Safariknut

A couple striped and framed panels from GV Gordon

A seat from Bustedlifter, and a metal sculpture from Lockwoodkustoms (I ended up buying the sculpture and one of GV's pieces)

One of the three pieces Sinclair sent us.

Sinclair's other two, and some of the posters Johnny Ace and Kali sent. (I actually got one of these, too)

[IMG] A little better shot of the posters.

[IMG] A print from my buddy's wife. She seems to have the hot rod thing (her first one) figured out!

A view of one of the HAMB tables, showing a piece from Jeem, as well as one from fortypickup (on the back row). Tingler's painting is just in front of fortypickup's piece, in the middle of the table.

Flyingpolock's contribution was the high seller of the auction.

An original airbrushed t-shirt from Johnny Ace & Kali

    A couple pieces from himjively

Hopefully, my son got some better pics. I was busier than hell all day, and that's all I've got.

Yeah, Greg, the guys really stepped up and made our auction a hit! BTW, THANKS to Ryan for allowing Joe Lockwood to use the HAMB logo on his piece!

Ray, I'm sorry you didn't make it up. I wanted to meet you. Maybe you'll be able to make it up for the HOT ROD HOMECOMING on July 12 in Alamosa. I'll be posting more info on it soon, in case anyone plans that far ahead, other than me. :) It's gonna ROCK!
