Ok for many this maybe an easy couple of questions but I cant seem to find any specific answer.
What is the bolt pattern for the 45 fin Buick Drums?
If they are 5 on 4 3/4 why does every one remove the hubs and drill and machine the Ford hubs to fit? Wouldn't it be just as easy to modify the Buick hubs?
Lastly if I were to use the new brake/backing plates from Speedway, which size 12 X 1 3/4 or 12 X 2, and what hubs and bearings?
I checked the tech archives and found lots of good info but nothing specific, hopfully this will start another tech thread.

They're 5X5. A fellow H.A.M.B.er (29RAT?) made some adapters to run the whole Buick drum/hub assembly a while back, but I don't think there are any left for sale.

  3. It's more complex than that, thay are also adapting to the Ford spindle, do a search in the Tech Archive, lots of info on this most desireable setup. And yeah, I have some.:D

  4. We are running more of the bearing adapters PM me if your interested, if you search my handle you will find the latest info.

Rajo, all the info is here in many different threads, although you're right, I don't think the Speedway backing plate deal has been mentioned. I think that's cause Speedway just came out with those about a year or so ago. The 12"x2" work fine with most of the different hub setups.
