I decided to register so if by chance I could think of something intelligent to say I would be able to. Mostly been a drag racer most of my life but always appreciated all types of cars. The old school deal is more my way now as I get as much enjoyment out of the build as any thing else. My current project probably doesn't qualify since it is a 75 pinto that I am resurecting but I am doing it the old way by hand tools and using what I can when I can to make it work. The other thing is I have a "fresh air garage". My next project I am planning is a truckster with ford big six. To be honest I have lost a step or two with age and health but I am doing what I love, messing with cars, and I am doing it my way. I will try not to bother anybody as I really enjoy just reading about what you all are doing and "borrowing" the ideas if I can make them work for me. jim
Hey there Hellfire, since your an old go straighter from the Northern Ill. area I'ed like to bend your ear someday if you ever had any experience with the guys out of the Rockford area, I'am sort of interested in the drag racing history of that area. I lived in that area when I was a kid(early 60s) and had to move just when the area was starting to get active. If you ever get the time I'ed like to hear some of your stories, you can get me at bill_cyclenut@hotmail.com. Thank You
