Too bad all the good "old school" yards up here in the NY area have been eaten up by the real estate developers. There used to be a great yard down in Jersey called Kober's. I doubt it's still there. They had goodies heaped up like cord wood. Anyone else been there or know its fate?
omggg....i need to go there wow that is amazing...you wont find many of them around...i got 2 small yards around me...one guy has a 78 vette and the other has a old charger shell....thats bout it for old school cars all i see are little imports and some ford hehe
arghhhhaisädgjpäaqigoadäfghi I can't talk anymore!!!! Why do I have to live in Germany!??? I would walk around in the States and look under every tree, to hunt old tin!!! Just to touch and hug it! I love junkyards more than women. A lot more!!!! Thanks for sharing!
http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v...1MjY4OTUxMzA2MjclN2UtNzQuODMwMjQ3Mjg4MjE0Mw== That link will bring you to 470 Montana Road in Washington, NJ....sad sight. Any car that you could get your hands on was scrapped.
This is the place with all the Camaros. Dave's Goldenwest Auto Wrecking - Goldenwest Truck 6972 Garden Grove Boulevard Westminster, CA 92683
It's in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada. Those pics are a few years old so, who knows if those cars are still there. I guess he sells most of them to the U.S. (what with the dollar the way it is) Eberhama provided the link a couple of posts up : http://www.kustomking.net/main1.htm And I posted some pics of the yard previously as well. I posted the link earlier in this thread. Todd
Man it sucks, that guy is in the middle of nowhere to us Americans. Its further than me (NJ) to Los Angeles driving wise. Damn.
Wow, I especially liked the 3 window sitting on the pallet in the pic with the old red Ford F1 in the foreground. Looks like a 33 Plymouth racecar behind it. Unreal
Boy, that is depressing, can't even tell there was once a beautiful scrapyard where all those big houses are! Here's another great bone-yard of yore, anybody know what became of "Fleetline Automotive"? It was kinda upstate NY, I believe in either Fishkill or Wallkill. I was there once in the mid 80's, it was an old apple orchard LOADED with Chevs from the late 30's to early 50's. I also remember seeing a row of Hudson Commodores in numerical order, 1940,41,42 (yes, he had a 42 Commodore 8 sedan) 46,etc.. The location probably made it a prime target for real estate developers. I'd be very surprised if they were still around!
