and when you cut the coils how bad will the alignment be? is it really that simple as taking the shocks out .. cuting a coil and a half and putting it back in without messing up the tie rods thanks alot for your imput. brett

  8. You could also try Espo Springs 'n Things:

  9. Check out some of the other Falcon threads here and you should find some answers. Off the top of my head, 3". I'm thinking you should decide if you want a slight nose-down rake, level, or lower in the back, first. Maybe you should lower the front end first, too.

It looks like you are totally confused with where you want to take this. It started out great. Then it looks like you got the muscle car bug and jacked it up and put the hood one it.

Then that got boring and you found the hot rod crowd and are trying your best to fit in with what you have.

What you had was perfect IMHO. Too much flat black... too many doohickeys. Get rid of the look at me embellishments and lower it to a respectable height like it was. Kill the hood and scoop and you'll be great.

It shouldnt take much effort or money to undo it.

If that's anything like a Mustang (and I'm sure it is ) lowering the front is a matter of relocating the control arm by drilling two new holes below the original holes and remount the arms . You can use the same spring or cut a little off and keep the ride quallity you had. I'm pretty sure this will lower it at least 3 inches . You have to compress the springs to get them out- BE CAREFUL !

its a ****ing coil! i would think you would need more balls to paint a perfectly good painted roof and deck lid flat black then to cut the coils! if you even figure out how to use the pickle fork. HAHA

Uhhh your not going to be abel to lower the front any other way..especially in your price range. your going to have to man up and cut the damn coil.

And if you go 3 or 4 inch blocks in the back, you might need to change your pinion angle, or theres a possibility you will blow U joints.
