  2. Thoughts and prayers to his family. Although I never met him, I do remember his artwork, lets spend a bit more time with the true class act individuals that are left in our midst. We all talk (me included) about the dwindling supply of vintage tin, but as of late the supply of veteran talent seems to be dwindling.

Wow, Dad just told me about this. I can't believe it. Bill was an inspiration to me and my Dad. His artwork and personality made Bill the perfect friend and hot rodder. Thanks for posting this.

Damn. That sucks. All things come to pass, but it's strange to think of any of us just not being around to contribute to the HAMB community anymore.
I always loved his work and was inspired to try harder with my own stuff. I think holding an art show in his memory is a great idea. We're helpless to do anything else but mourne his passing. I think he might have liked that.
    Go easy BDrake.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I will pass your kind words along to the family tomorrow.

Also, I was poking around today and realized that Bill's art was the cover drawing for Dave Mann's www.roadsters.com website and for his T-shirts. Didn't even know that.

Anyway, again your thoughts are appreciated.

  17. I've been following his work since the days of the big blue car art site, this is truly a great loss.

I had seen Bill's site before, but thanks for the link to his '37 build. Don't have a clue how I did not see it before. A whole slew of info to use.

    Thanks Bill, RIP.

I never met him, but his build post has been inspirational since I found it a while back.

What a crushing blow, and an amazing talent. I suck for never having met him.

Just another realization of "our" mortality.

Damn! I'm sorry to hear this. The only time I ever met him was at his house about 8 years ago. Rick and I stopped there on the way to Indy to pick up some artwork that he had done. Nice guy with a nice family. RIP.

  29. May God give his family and friends the strength to endure and go on. Hope this tragic event makes everyone step back and see where you are with God. Will include them in my Prayers Gary

  30. That's some great artwork!

    RIP
