Couldn't find the thread on custom/made tools, so here's we go... Here's a way to make perfect circles with a plasma cutter. I've never tried it with a torch, but don't see why it wouldn't work. Find some tubing that sleeves over your torch head, drill a hole, weld a nut to the sleeve so the bolt goes though the hole tightening down on the torch head. Repeat this on a solid rod (Huh,huh I said rod) about 12"-16" long. Put a point (a ground down bolt) opposite tightening bolt. Make this long enough for the torch to sit parallel to the table. Use a center punch to mark the center of your circle and adjust the collar with the point to match the outside diameter you want to make. Start a hole, slowly spin it around and your done.

Good idea, made one some years ago that was similar, the only difference was that I had a bearing on the end that holds the torch. That way the torch remained at the same angle as it is being held, all the way around.:):D

Also made these for taking a pre-determined (that's a big word) amount off something. Same as above but I used cut down u-bolts to make a guideline/edge to run along. Make them in any length you think you may use regularly. The two shown are 3/4" and 1".

    Back for tech week...

  8. Nice idea. You can also bend one up out of welding rod, not as hi-tec as yours but it works.
